The PokerStars Open returns to Live! Casino Philadelphia with a series that will be capped with a $1,100 Main Event. The series runs from March 16-23, but a completed schedule has not been released. Players can qualify for the Main Event, which has a $500,000 guarantee, through PokerStars for as little as $10.

If last year’s PokerStars Open Main Event tells us anything, it’s that the guarantee will most likely be broken. More than 1,150 entries were collected in 2025, generating a prize pool of more than $1.1 million. A three-way deal gave the winner, Edward Leonard, $147,806.

A $10,000 guaranteed Women’s Event will also be on the schedule, as well as a $50,000 guaranteed PokerStars cup. The PokerStars Open is part of its relaunched North American Poker Tour.

Phillies pitcher hosting charity event

Sticking in the City of Brotherly Love, Phillies pitcher Aaron Nola is hosting a poker tournament at Citizens Bank Park to raise money for Philabundance, the largest food bank in the Greater Philadelphia region serving over 135,000 people each week.

“By standing with Philabundance in their mission to drive hunger from our neighborhoods and partnering with Team RWB to enrich the lives of our veterans, we’re reminded of what true strength and service look like. When we come together for a purpose bigger than ourselves, lifting up the people who make our communities stronger, everybody wins,” Nola said.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. on April 16.

According to a press release, “this special charity event will give fans the chance to go all-in at the table with Nola, his teammates, and other celebrity guests. In addition, attendees at Aaron Nola’s Charity Poker Tournament will enjoy cocktails, local bites, prizes, ballpark tours, on-field photo opportunities and more. There will also be special appearances by the Phillie Phanatic and Phillies Ballgirls; broadcaster Tom McCarthy will be the emcee for the evening.”

Individuals can get into the door and a seat in the tournament for $1,500, but donation tiers go up to $50,000. For more information, click here.
