The festival runs from Dec. 2-22, featuring 78 tournaments and two dozen satellites at the Wynn in Las Vegas. Buy-ins range from $600 to the multiple high-roller events. Feeders to the tournaments start at $200.

The crown-jewel of the series and one of the highlights of the tournament poker year is the $10,400 WPT World Championship that takes place Dec. 13–21 and features three Day 1 starting flights.  Winners of WPT headliners in 2025 also got an entry into this big one.

It’s one of a handful of five-figured buy-ins that include two $25,800 buy-in high roller events and a $10,000 Seniors High Roller that has a $500,000 guarantee. That special event will take place over three days starting on Dec. 20.

The Wynn and WPT added a few new tourneys to this year’s slate:

  • $1,600 PLO Mystery Bounty (Dec. 7-8)
  • $1,600 NLH $1 Million GTD (Dec. 12-13 — this has a a single starting day)
  • $1,100 NLH $2 Million GTD (Dec. 16-19)

And promising big guarantees continues in 2025 with several must-play events for the world’s best pros:

  • $800 buy-in, $1 Million GTD Opening Event (Dec. 2-6)
  • $1,600 buy-in, $1 Million GTD (Dec. 5-7)
  • $1,600 buy-in, $1 Million GTD (Dec. 20-22)
  • $3,000 buy-in, $3 Million GTD (Dec. 18-20)

Even the $1,100 buy-in Ladies Event has a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000. It’s set to take place Dec. 13-14. The normal Seniors Championship takes place Dec. 18-20.

While the WPT World Championship is going to attract a lot of headlines, so is the $1,100 WPT Prime Championship with its $5 million guarantee that takes place Dec. 7-12, with its final table delayed so it can be livestreamed on Dec. 20. Play for all four of the WPT Prime Championship Day 1’s start at 11 a.m.

Also, close to a dozen Pot-Limit Omaha and 5-Card PLO tournaments are on the schedule, as well as an decent mixed-games line up that includes HORSE, TORSE, and Omaha 8 events, Big O, OE, Mixed Triple Draw, and 2-7 Mixed Limits. The full schedule can be found here.

“The WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas continues to evolve and has become a must attend event for players,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “From satellites, to new marquee mid-stakes tournaments, to high rollers, players will find tremendous value, along with an unmatched atmosphere and experience at one of the world’s premier venues.”

A Players Party will take place Dec. 12, at Odyssey Noir, featuring music, entertainment, and “a vibrant atmosphere for players to enjoy.” They need to present their official buy-in receipt to get in.

Whoever climbs to the top of the tournamentleaderboards are going to have a very good happy holidays. Last year’s $10,400 champion, Scott Stewart, won more than $2.5 million. And last’s year’s WPT Prime Championship attracted 9,670 entrants. Zak VanKeuren became a millionaire by taking it down.
